Easy Christmas Crochet Scrubby Gift*

Alright, if you have to do dishes this yarn is great.

It could have been more candy cane -
but, this was the first one I made. You will see lots of mistakes. I gave most of them away, except for that one and the one for the Cleveland Browns. As you can see, I decided that I needed to get my stitch count back, so I added yarn. I don't have a dishwasher, so, I wash everything by hand. That scrubby in the picture is over a year old. I think that it has held up well.

Materials Needed.

Scrubby measures 4¼” (11.5 cm) diameter.
Note In Rounds 2 and 3, you may prefer to work between the stitches.

SCRUBBY Ch 4; join with slip st in first ch to form a ring.
Round 1 (right side): Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), 11 dc in ring; join with slip st in top of beginning ch—12 dc.
Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as join, 2 dc in each st around; join with slip st in top of beginning ch—24 dc.
Round 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in next st, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around; join with slip st in top of beginning ch—36 dc. Fasten off.
FINISHING Weave in ends.
ABBREVIATIONS ch = chain(s); dc = double crochet; st(s) = stitch(es); * = repeat whatever follows the * as indicated.

Makes a great Christmas gift.
