Upscale your dirty lamp shades with fabric

 My new lamp!!


I noticed that this lamp shade was beyond repair as you can see!

So, I decided to use fabric yo-yo's

I am still not a teacher,

I used epoxy glue for the shade, it dries faster than hot glue. 

For someone who is more need than talent I think that this came out great!

Addicted to Loom Knitting - beginners welcomed!

Since I have never been a great teacher here are many videos on how to use the loom. They have different stitches and everything that you need to know to make these projects.

This is a newborn's hat, toddler's hat, and a baby cocoon. I used chunky yarns and I made them in a weekend. Cute aren't they. Loom Knitting isn't difficult and you have a great item for gifting or selling.

With all of the yarn sales I seem to have this particular problem!

All About Knit Looms for Beginners

I wanted to tell you what I have been doing all week. I have been looming with my granddaughters and grandson. It is fun and fast.

I bought this loom first:

But I felt restricted by set pegs so, then I bought Martha Stewart's Looms and Knit and Weave set because you can reset the pegs.

Project Patterns
Includes instructions for a hat, scarf, and blanket.

30+ configurations:
Weaving loom - makes woven squares 1.5in to 13.5in wide and rectangles 1.5 in to 25.5in wide.
Round loom - makes circular knit pieces 13.5in to 14in in circumference.
Rake loom - makes flat knit pieces 4in to 37in wide.
Rosette loom - makes a rosette approximately 2in in diameter.

Snow Day Projects That Will Lift Your Winter Blues

This winter has been very harsh for many of us. Let's take some time and pamper ourselves.

 We could all use a happy place!

The days are starting to get longer but the nights are still long and cold. Candles can help to warm up a room.

Bring holiday lights indoors.

Fabric stores has chenille to make these wonderful soft decorative pillows. When I was little, it seemed that almost all of the bedspreads were made out of chenille. Great memories.

Glitter never hurt a thing.

Candles again! The use of pearls and twine - a two elements that are from the sea.

New pillows!

New hobby - take a painting lesson. This painting was done by a technique called knife painting. One uses a palette knife instead of a paint brush. I don't know why but blue always makes me smile.
